I would like to say thanks for a job well done. It is not too often that a group of Companies can work together on a project such as we have and developed a team sprit. This project has not been easy and the level of commitment from everyone is commendable. But most of all I would like to say that the commitment towards safety has been exemplary. From the newest apprentice to the management of each company, safety has been number one.

Over the past few years a new safety culture has come to life, and this group has proven that that culture is working. We as a group have been proactive and not reactive, that’s what makes this safety culture work, it’s the buy in from management and the employees that make this happen. Our company’s goal is that everyone goes home safe and uses what they learn about safety at home. Safety is just not about what you do at work; but what you do in life.

We at ASCT would like to say thank you and are looking forward to the next construction season. Have a safe Holiday season and see you next year.

To All Interested Parties:
In less than a month the Volunteers of America will move their Adolescent Residential
Center for Help (ARCH) program into a new $4.8 million facility located on Hiland Road in
Eagle River, Alaska. An exceptional (14,000 sf) facility, built in a rural residential
neighborhood, ARCH blends into its environment and enhances the neighborhood it has
been a part of for over 25 years. This project is an excellent example of fast-track
construction and a best-value selection process.
This facility provides a new home for a successful treatment program for adolescents ages
12 – 18 with substance use disorders and mental health issues. The new facility will house
24 residents.
As the project manager for the project, I want to commend our contractor, Unit Company,
for creating such a fine and well constructed facility. Unit Company is made up of a team of
dedicated professionals at all levels of their organization. They truly deliver a quality
product in a timely manner and have treated our project as if it were their own. All
members of their team have taken great pride in their work and reputation. They have
exceeded expectation s with their ability to incorporate owner generated changes with
absolutely minimal disruption to a fast schedule. The team oriented and open approach
they have taken with this project works very well and builds an environment that makes a
client truly feel a part of the process. They have worked very closely with us to insure all
the special requirements this type of facility needs were addressed to OUR satisfaction.
What an enjoyable process. I would readily work with Unit Company again.
