The new 3-story 22,000 SF building, situated on 1.91 acres, has 23 apartments which consist of 17 one-bedroom units and 6 two-bedroom units.  Amenities include onsite management, laundry facility, daycare, playground, security gate, controlled access, offices, common room, exterior fitness space, walking path, rain garden and on-site apple trees and berry bushes. The facility was designed and constructed for low-income families and residents with disabilities. 

Muldoon Gardens is connected to Safe Harbor, a 56-unit temporary supportive housing structure intended for those individuals and families exiting homelessness.  Construction included the demolition of an existing restaurant that was attached to Safe Harbor which was deemed structurally unable to be remodeled. 

Sustainability features such as solar energy and a six-star energy rating provide relief from high energy costs for water, heat, and electricity were incorporated as well as the use of materials that are Red List free (materials are all environmentally safe or constructed to meet high sustainability goals).
