Alaska Airlines Cargo Hanger Ph 1 & 2

//

In September of 1996, UNIT was selected by Alaska Airlines, through a competitive bidding process, to perform selective demolition and structural renovations and additions to an existing 35,000 SF air cargo facility.  Shortly after starting that project, the client asked us to negotiate a GMP contract for the completion of the 73,000 SF air cargo facility at Anchorage International Airport.  This included partial demolition of existing building elements.  The Air Cargo Facility consisted of high-bay warehouse, administrative offices and public areas, inside freezers and coolers.  The building is steel frame construction with tilt-up concrete wall panels.  All concrete and structural work was accomplished during the winter season with a completion date of June.
