Fort Raymond Substation Generation Addition

UNIT met all the needs of the City of Seward (COS) for an emergency power generation facility (5 Megawatt Power Plant) on schedule and within budget.  The project was a design-build that required significant value engineering and redesign. 

The COS needed to replace two generators and provide a building to house them as well as a mechanical and electrical design to integrate them with the existing facility.  The original RFP generated a design-build proposal that was approximately 130% over budget.  After extensive value engineering was completed and the design had substantially progressed the City of Seward
