Dimond Center Phase III

This design-build contract was to construct a 328,000 SF addition to the largest retail mall in Alaska.  We were involved in the project from the initial concept through completion.  Our firm was selected as a result of the relationship we developed during two previous additions to the Dimond Center.

Our role in pre-construction phase of the project included assisting in the re-platting of existing property to accommodate the new mall addition and rezoning of existing property to allow planned retail use.  As this project evolved from the initial concept of retail/hotel to the final retail/commercial office use, these efforts intensified.

We provided constructability reviews during design development and continually updated the project budget with cost estimates and pricing reviews.  We developed a master planning schedule that included all pre-construction activities related to design, permitting, and all construction activities required to construct this project adjacent to a fully operational retail mall.

We also managed the turn-key installation of the ice rink refrigeration system and associated apparatuses.  This facility has enjoyed a long and successful history of operation since its inception.
