In 1993 UNIT was awarded a 78,000 SF design build project for the construction of a new major auto-service/tire storage warehouse operation in Anchorage, Alaska.  Parameters invloved locating the building to allow maximum use of existing utlities and allow conformance with the master plan of development institued by the Calais Group, the project land owners.  Unique parking and  trafflic flow requirements were solved in the project design phase.  A defeciency in existing storm drain capacity required a unique solution of utilizing on site storm drain piping as a partial underground reservoir storage system.
